Since re-admission, South Africa have had two Muslim Boks- the Western Province/Stormers loose forward Nizaam Carr, who made his debut against Italy in Padova (November 22, 2014) and the Free State/Cheetahs loosie Uzair Cassiem, who also made his international bow in an EOYT game (against Wales in Cardiff on November 27, 2016)

The Western Province area has produced notable several Muslim rugby players- one being Isma-eel Dollie, who once played flyhalf for the Junior Springboks. Dollie was the starting 10 when South Africa lost in the 2006 JWC final to France, who had Lionel Beauxis at flyhalf that day. Another touted as a potential future Bok is lock Salmaan Moerat, who captained South Africa schools in 2016.
Zain Davids, also from Western Province, has represented South Africa at Junior Springbok and at senior sevens.
