Seabelo Senatla became South Africa’s record try scorer in rugby sevens when he scored his 180th try in the Wellington 7’s final against Fiji. South Africa won 26-5 to clinch their first 7’s title in New Zealand since 2002.
Senatla’s 180th try means that he broke the long standing record of Fabian Juries, who previously headed the list with 179.

Stormers and Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth has been named as the new SARPA president (South African Rugby Players Association) for 2016, replacing Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis, who has moved north to join Montpellier.
It’s a massive honour for me to be entrusted with the responsibility of representing professional players in South Africa in this manner
Bismarck has done a sterling job representing all professional players over the past five years and I aim to continue the legacy he has left behind.
Under his leadership, our organisation has made huge strides, which have contributed to the organisation’s efforts in creating a better environment for professional rugby players in South Africa
