If reports are to be believed, the Sharks have signed young centre Jeremy Ward from Eastern Province. Ward was captain of the South Africa U20 side at this year’s Championships, and also made a few appearances for the Kings in Super Rugby.
Ward’s signing is a timely one, given that the Sharks have just lost outside centre Paul Jordaan to La Rochelle.
With Ward and Curwin Bosch on their books, Natal now have two of the brightest U20 talents in the country on their roster.
Ward’s exit is another in the long list of talented youngsters to leave EP, with Aidon Davis (Toulon), Thembelani Bholi (Free State), Shane Gates (Japan) and James Hall (Oyonnax) also moving from Port Elizabeth at the conclusion of the 2016 Super season.
